US Shutdown!

Shutdown of the US government slows down Wall Street
After now five trading days of gains, the US stock markets have given way on Friday. Headwind comes from the ongoing government downturn in the US. The budget dispute between US President Donald Trump and the opposition Democrats has paralyzed parts of the US government for about three weeks now. So far, no agreement is in sight. Even a solution in the trade dispute with China is not in sight. The negotiations should now continue at a higher level at the end of January according to my knowledge.
The Dow Jones stock market chart fell 0.5 percent in early trading, having skipped 24,000 points the previous day for the first time in three weeks. The market-wide S & P 500 fell 0.45 percent to 2585.07 on Friday. The Nasdaq Stock Market stock market chart lost 0.5 percent to 6590 points.
